January 17, 2022 1:23 PM
(Red Deer, Alberta)

Red Deerians can learn how to become more energy efficient at an upcoming workshop provided by The City of Red Deer. The 90-minute virtual workshop is free to attend and includes a package of supplies that participants can use to improve the efficiency of their homes.

“Improving energy efficiency can help to reduce energy use and improve home comfort, in addition to lowering overall emissions and improving air quality in our city,” said Phil Boehme, Community Development Coordinator. “This workshop will teach residents how making small changes can make a difference at home and will contribute to a reduction in emissions across the city.”

The City’s Environmental Master Plan includes goals of improving energy efficiency and improving air quality by reducing emissions. Energy efficiency workshops such as this help to involve residents in these goals and invite them to support the initiatives of The City.
