Roadway Sealing to begin in Burnt Lake Industrial Subdivision

June 23, 2022 1:06 PM
(Red Deer, Alberta)

Starting Friday, June 24, roadway sealing work will begin in the Burnt Lake Industrial Subdivision as crews complete roadway sealing treatment on all paved roadways within City limits.

The project is expected to last approximately three days with most of the work occurring on June 25 and 26. Traffic will be reduced to one lane while crews complete their work. Access to businesses will be maintained but drivers should anticipate some traffic delays.

Sealing is a cost-effective road preservation treatment that seals the surface of the roadway and helps to prevent and delay the occurrence of cracking, ravelling, and the formation of potholes. More information about roadway sealing can be found on our website at www.reddeer.ca/roadwaysealing.

Drivers are reminded to slow down when driving in construction zones and obey all signs. All road construction is weather dependant and schedules may be subject to change. For information about road construction and traffic disruptions visit www.reddeer.ca/roadclosures.
