Congratulations to the new Premier of Alberta from Red Deer Mayor and City Council

On behalf of the residents of Red Deer, I extend my warmest congratulations to Premier Danielle Smith on her decisive victory in yesterday’s provincial election and appointment as the new Premier of Alberta. This achievement is a testament to her leadership, dedication, and the trust bestowed upon them by the people of our great province.

The office of Premier holds great responsibility and influence, and I am confident that Premier Smith will fulfill her duties with utmost dedication, integrity, and commitment to the well-being of all Albertans.

Alberta faces numerous challenges, and I look forward to working together to find innovative solutions to address them. I look forward to working closely with you and your government to achieve the shared objectives that are important to Red Deerians, and all Albertans.

As the Premier, you have the unique opportunity to shape the direction of our province and make a positive impact on the lives of its residents. I encourage you to remain steadfast in your efforts to build a stronger, more prosperous Alberta while championing the values of inclusivity, diversity, and social cohesion. By prioritizing these principles, we can create an environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

City Council and I are committed to working collaboratively with the provincial government to address issues that are important to our residents and to foster a strong partnership between our city and the province.
