Time is running out to nominate an outstanding Red Deerian for a 2026 Mayor’s Recognition Award.
The Mayor’s Recognition Awards honour individuals or groups who have made a special contribution that has brought honour and recognition to Red Deer.
The nomination deadline is March 27, 2026 at 9 a.m. The awards are open to anyone who lives in or contributes to our community.
There are five award categories:
- Community Builder Award
- Distinguished Voluntary Service
- Fine & Performing Arts
- Mayor’s Special Award
These awards are a way of acknowledging and congratulating our citizens for their accomplishments, recognizing a broad range of achievements, as many people serve community in different ways. Award recipients are selected by the Mayor’s Recognition Awards Committee, except the Mayor’s Special Award recipient, which is selected by the Mayor.
