The City of Red Deer is introducing a new phone system designed to enhance customer service and improve the caller experience.
New features include:
- Estimated wait times
- The option to request a callback instead of waiting on hold
- Enhanced service monitoring to help improve customer service
The new system will launch in phases:
Revenue & Assessment – June 16
Customers contacting Revenue & Assessment will continue to use the same phone numbers and contact information they use today. Callers will notice changes to menu options and recorded messaging. Minor service interruptions during the changeover on June 16 may occur.
Recreation – June 22
Customers will access Recreation services through one main phone number: 403-309-8411. Callers will have the option to connect directly to a specific facility from there.
All previous phone numbers for these service areas will continue to be routed to the main number for six months following implementation. Callers will notice changes to menu options and recorded messaging. Minor service disruptions during the changeover on June 22 may occur.
Other departments and main lines will transition over to the new phone system in the next six months.
