On Sept. 2, 2026, at 5:52 a.m., Red Deer RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a cyclist on Riverside Drive and 77 St. in Red Deer.
Police and Emergency Services attended the collision and found that two SUV’s had collided with the cyclist. The rider of the bicycle was transported by EMS to hospital with serious injuries.
Occupants of the vehicles did not sustain any injuries.
The RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the cause of the collision remains under investigation. No charges have been laid at this time.
