Red Deer residents and visitors are invited to discover, experience and celebrate local arts, culture and heritage during Alberta Culture Days this September, with more than 50 free events and activities planned across the city.
Throughout September, Red Deer will come alive with more than 50 free events and activities, including hands-on visual and performing arts programs, gallery exhibitions, live music, cultural markets, walking tours, family-friendly activities and community gatherings. City-led highlights include free Arts and Culture programs, art exhibitions at Viewpoint Gallery and Corridor Gallery, and a couple Picnics at Gary W. Harris Celebration Plaza.
“The response from Red Deer’s arts and culture community has been incredible,” said Tyler McKinnon, Community Development Superintendent. “With more than 50 free events and activities happening throughout September, Alberta Culture Days is a chance to explore and experience local creativity in so many ways — from City arts programs and gallery exhibitions to partner-led festivals, performances, workshops and cultural experiences across Red Deer.”
