Construction Season

Road construction is a season in Alberta. Our harsh winters leave our roads in need of repair. This means road and lane closures during the summer months as crews work to repair damage. In addition to major capital projects, Construction Season will include fixing frost boils and potholes, upgrading roads and intersections, and improving road surfaces with crown paving and micro-surfacing. This will improve how motorists, pedestrians, cyclists and trail users move through our city. These improvements will keep our roads safe and drivable, providing long-term solutions to traffic flow, infrastructure, and pedestrian accessibility, while supporting future development projects for our growing city.

If you have questions about construction projects, please email constructionseason@reddeer.ca.

Mail delivery during construction

Canada Post mail delivery may be interrupted during construction if Canada Post deems the route is not safe for mail carriers. For those with home delivery, mail service may be impacted if construction impacts the sidewalk leading up to their home.

If your mail service is interrupted, please contact Canada Post to coordinate access to your mail:
