Look n Book Change is coming

We’re launching a new registration system that will make it easier for you to search, get information about, and register for City programs and services. The new website will launch in July.

We will experience a few minor service interruptions as we migrate to the new system. To avoid potential delays, we are encouraging all customers to register early for summer programs. 

System shutdown – June 17 -19:

During this time, we will not be able to process any registrations, account updates or payments online, in person or over the phone. The following services will be affected:

  • Program registrations in all City facilities
  • Program withdrawals and refund processing
  • Payments on outstanding account balances
  • Access to customer accounts and updating customer information
  • Sale of monthly passes and visit passes
  • Facility bookings including, weddings, picnic shelters and birthday party bookings
  • Transit pass sales
  • Rip ‘n Rec Summer Pass sales
  • Gift card sales
  • Fee Assistance Program applications will not be processed

Online blackout period – June 17 - July 10:

Look n book, our online registration system, is currently unavailable as we prepare to launch our new website July 10. During this time, you cannot access your account online. To register for a program or make a payment, please visit a City recreation facility or call us at 403-309-8411.

Why is The City moving to a new system?

Our previous system is outdated with no further updates available to the software. The City is ready to implement a new system that responds to the changing needs of the organization and its customers.

What does “system shutdown” mean?

As we transfer data to the new system, a brief (three to four day) shutdown will occur. During this time, we will not be able to process any registrations, account updates or payments online, in person or over the phone. The following services will be affected:

  • Program registrations in all City facilities
  • Program withdrawals and refund processing
  • Payments on outstanding account balances
  • Access to customer accounts and updating customer information
  • Sale of monthly passes and visit passes
  • Facility bookings including, weddings, picnic shelters and birthday party bookings

What does “online blackout period” mean?

Our online registration system, look n book, is unavailable until July 10. During this time you can register for programs or make payments on your account by visiting a City recreation facility or by calling 403-309-8411.

What will happen to my account?

Customers who have accessed their account within the last two years will have their information transferred to the new system.

Will my Look n Book login stay the same with the new system?

No. All accounts will change when the new system is implemented. Customers will be required to log in to the system with their email address. No client or family PIN will be required. Instructions will be available to our customers prior to the website launch.

Can I withdraw or transfer from a program during the shutdown?

No. Program registrations, withdrawals, and transfers are not possible from June 17-19.

What happens to any credits I have on my account when the new system is launched?

All credits and outstanding balances will be transferred from the previous system to the new system and will appear in your account after the launch.

What do I need to register?

To register for a City program, you will need:

  • Course code - This can be found in the program listing in the Activity Guide or Activities Search and Registration page
  • Email address - Your email address and password are required to register in City programs. You no longer require a Client Number or Family PIN.
