Hallman House
Located at 4617 48 StreetHallman House. Culture, 2009.
The 1907 Hallman House was one of the earliest homes built in the Parkvale neighbourhood which was established as Parkvale Estates in 1905. The house is significant for its vernacular design with a full-width front porch and clapboard and wooden shingle siding usually found in Craftsman and Prairie style homes. The house is an example of residential development in the first decade of the twentieth century as Red Deer became a regional service centre for Central Alberta.
The Hallman House is on The City of Red Deer’s Places of Interest List and is protected by The City’s Land Use Bylaw Historical Significance Overlay District (HS-26).
