If plumbing exists and you are replacing or attaching fixtures, a plumbing permit is not required. For any alterations or new plumbing, a permit is required.
Who can apply?
Licensed Contractors
A licensed contractor, with a valid plumbing ticket, can apply for an plumbing permit. If you are a contractor requiring a City of Red Deer Business Licence, please visit our Licensing page to obtain and submit a Business Licence application, and for additional information.
Homeowners
The City of Red Deer allows homeowners to obtain plumbing permits, if the applicant owns and resides in the property.
*A Homeowner Permit Premium charge will be added to the permit fee.
What are the fees?
The fees are subject to change on May 1 of each year to be in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
