Event Spaces in Greater Downtown

Greater Downtown offers spaces for different kinds of events, from small pop-ups and performances to markets, seasonal activations, community celebrations, and larger public gatherings.

A downtown event-site map is being developed to help event organizers compare spaces, amenities, access, and site fit.

Ross Street Patio

Located in the heart of downtown, Ross Street Patio is a central gathering and entertainment venue with a stage, seating, seasonal décor, enhanced lighting, and regular live music. It is also the city’s first Entertainment District.

Best for: live music, seasonal programming, public gathering, downtown animation

Capstone 150 Square

Capstone 150 Square is an open-air gathering space in Capstone next to the Red Deer River. The area includes seating and access to surrounding public space, making it well suited to community activity and public programming.

Best for: markets, pop-ups, cultural activity, family-friendly programming, river-adjacent events

Gary W. Harris Celebration Plaza

Located at the west entrance of the Intermediate School, Gary W. Harris Celebration Plaza connects to Red Deer’s arts and culture facilities and nearby paid parking.
