Greater Downtown is the umbrella description for Red Deer’s central area, including Historic Downtown, Capstone, Railyards and Parkvale.

What is happening with the downtown Business Improvement Area?

Downtown businesses voted in favour of disestablishing the BIA, and The City is now proceeding with the legislative process required under provincial legislation.

Will downtown services continue?

Yes. The City will continue essential downtown services, support downtown public spaces, and support downtown events during the transition.
