From neighbourhood green spaces and pathways to the exceptional Waskasoo Park system, the space to stretch your legs, walk the dog or fly a kite is never far away. Red Deer has more than 110 kilometres of soft and hard surface trails that traverse the Waskasoo Park system. We encourage you to experience the city’s park system and become a partner in keeping one of our greatest amenities environmentally healthy, clean and safe.

Trail Snow Clearing

Did you know that you can still enjoy running, walking or even biking on almost 23 km of selected trails during the winter season?

Please view the Trails Snow Clearing map (image) for specifics on which trails have been selected for clearing. Chemical ice melts are not used – all clearing is done by machine.

Utility bill payment deferral period...

The 90 day period for deferral of utility payments ends on June 15 with The City reminding customers that starting June 19, a 1.5 per cent penalty will be added to outstanding balances.
